Type Camp FAQs
How much is Type Camp?
Prices vary from camp to camp but the information can be found at the bottom of each specific camp page.
Does the price include transportation to the camp?
No. The Type Camp fee does NOT include your flights to the Camp itself. We do, however, cover all scheduled transportation during the camp.
I’m a student. Is there a discount?
We try to keep the price low for everyone so there are no discounts for students at this time.
I am a vegetarian/vegan/picky eater. What will I do about food?
Chefs prepare all meals and they will cater for your needs, including allergies. No worries, we promise. (Note: Due to time restrictions, not all meals are provided on the London Type Camp.)
What shall I bring?
Once you have paid your deposit, we will send you a detailed schedule and a specific list of what to bring, including clothing, supplies, etc.
Do I have to bring my laptop?
We will tell you if you need your computer. If we say you won’t need it, then you won’t need it.
Do I have to be a professional designer with accreditation?
As long as you have an interest in the field, you are welcome to attend. We have had many students attend, some just beginning and some just finishing their education. You could also be an experienced designer—it doesn’t matter where you are or how you got there, just that you’re ready to try new ways of looking at typography.
