This Type Camp will help you develop your own sketching techniques for letterforms through parameters including proportion, contrast, weight, stroke, terminals, and more. We will help you test the limits and find extremes for the letterforms while exploring possibilities through demonstrations, exercises, and group discussions. By the end of this workshop, you will have learned the fundamentals of typographic structure, designing for typefaces or lettering, the relationship between the positive and negative space of the letterforms, and various typographic design strategies.
