This one-day professional training Type Camp will focus exclusively on script lettering and calligraphy by demand from the type folks in Toronto!

You will learn about and create your own style with a variety of lettering approaches, letter skeletons, pointed brush lettering techniques, and detailed lettering refinements. Never done this before? No problem! We promise that you don’t need to have had any previous experience in hand lettering or typography. Computers aren’t needed – this day is all analog.

Our studio space will be located in the beautiful Design Exchange building, the Canadian Deign Museum, on Bay Street near King. We will start at 9.30 am and continue until 5pm each day.

By the end of the workshop, you will have a variety of script and calligraphic pieces that are both individual and collaborative. You will have challenged yourself in new ways and experimented with creative processes. The lettering and script skill set and procedural method can be applied to numerous kinds of future projects.

Are you a member of the RGD? You get $50 off the registration price. Let us know on your registration form.
