Our first ‘First Friday Type Camp at Adobe’ of the autumn season! The campers spent the morning figuring out the tool itself, and how to swivel and curve it to achieve a basic italic letterform. After lunch they made their own versions and adjusted them to better suit their own lettering styles and mark making. Xandra demonstrated how to incorporate colour into the counters to create a unique word. We experimented with everything – different inks and different tools – and even used mustard and mayonnaise packets for lettering. It was a great day filled with trying new things, in one of the coolest companies of the world. What more could anyone want?
