We had our first ever San Francisco Type Camp in the Portrero Hill Adobe offices and you can bet we’ll be back there! With catered breakfast & lunch (so. much. lovely. food.), a convenient location, and a super hip building, it was certainly a higher end camp.
In attendance, we had a Type Camp instructor (Stephen), a Type Camp India alum & Adobe type designer (Paul), Adobe type designer (Frank), a former Vancouver camper (Sasan), a former Bauhaus camper (Marie), and attendee from our crazy AdobeMax workshop 2 days previous (Bear)! Add to that 3 new campers (Carlos, David, & Megan) and we had the perfect amount of folks for our fancy little board room.
Carol walked everyone through the process – basically starting off with forms but slowly relaxing them as the tool dictated, and oh how we relaxed them! Because of the size of the group, we were able to work with the visual communication of the words, beyond just the letters, with fantastic results.
