This autumn, I was interviewed (here at my home – look at that view!) by the North Carolina State University College of Design, where I received my Bachelors degree in Environmental Design in Graphic Design 25 years ago (eek!). They featured me in the ‘innovation’ issue of their Design Life magazine. I wrote a bit about the interview earlier on this blog.
I have to say that I get very uncomfortable talking about who I am and where I’ve come from – and I think this is primarily because it was hard and I did a lot of things wrong and screwed up plenty – but then again, doesn’t everyone? I’ve long believed that nobody actually has any idea what they’re doing and that certainly holds true for me! I’m figuring it out as I go along and I suppose that’s just fine. I strongly believe in education in all forms and I’m doing my best to contribute to it.
The article is here (spread 13) and the interview is here.
